Jean McCrady РChairperson
A founding board member of Marshall County PALS some 26 years ago and for many years sat on the Alabama PALS state board. A founding board member of Junior Achievement in Marshall County, and volunteer in other civic and charitable roles. An entrepreneur and business owner who established, developed, and managed Mountain Lakes Resort for some 30 years, and now owns Murphy Hill Storage. Holds several academic degrees, including a PhD in Leadership and Human Behavior from the United States International University in San Diego, CA. Runner in multiple charity races, and holds 8 state age records for races ranging from 1 milers to 10Ks, mostly in the 5K distance category.

Loan Officer at Citizens Bank &Trust in Albertville. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Agriculture Economics and Business from Auburn University.

George Wells
Retired business owner. Chamber and civic leader for; Albertville Civitans, Keep Albertville beautiful campaign, museum. By proclamation, our CASA golf scramble has been renamed in his honor for over 7 years of service. Fundraising, business leadership and volunteer recruitment are a portion of his contributions.

Denise Cornwell
Owner of Cornwell Recreation, Inc. Experience in working as the RSVP Director for Montgomery, Meals on Wheels and the Council on Aging. Volunteer Coordinator for a domestic abuse shelter, Volunteer Coordinator for Hospice of Montgomery, Alumni Director for Auburn University Montgomery. Public Relations Director for the Selma Al public school system. Graduate of the University of Alabama and Guntersville High School.

Kathleen Rice
Program Supervisor for Adult and Protective Services at D.H.R. Board leader/member of The Child Advocacy Center, Gap program, Disaster Volunteers. Masters in Social Services and management with B.S. in finance.

Pat Davis
Retired registered nurse. Head of G.F.U.M.C. Missions and active in providing food and clothing to local residents in need. Board member/leader for The Salvation Army. Provide mission leadership for CASA clients.

Robin Gore Lathan
Executive Assistant to the Mayor/Communications Specialist City of Albertville. Studied Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication at University of South Carolina. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Child Advocacy Center.

Susie Little
Retired Physical Education teacher from the Boaz School System. She lives in Albertville with husband of 43 years Mike Little. They have two sons Michael and Nicholas, and three grandchildren. Susie is a member of Albertville First United Methodist Church, Greenlawn Garden Club, the Albertville Literary Luncheon Club and is active in other Community activities. She enjoys gardening,biking and watching Alabama football in her free time.

Tim Mitchell
Marshall County Probate Judge for 30 years. Jacksonville State University, Bachelor of Science (BS), Accounting and Business/Management, 1977-1982

Terri Shaddox

Former CASA employee. Now retired, leader for the prayer ministry of G.F.U.M.C. Active in all areas of our service but specializing in the CASA Cares program. Mobilizing volunteers to adopt clients by communicating with them via cards, calls and visits. A local artist as well.

Tom Andress
Retired utility metallurgist/engineer. Currently involved in CASA via Master Gardner volunteer for the CASA Garden. Also volunteers with Marshall County Reading Buddies and teaching children in an after school gardening program. Semi-retired physicist.

Todd Mitchem
Owner and manager of numerous rental properties in Albertville, Guntersville, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. He has a BA Political Science from Auburn University, MS Secondary Education from University of South Alabama and MA Liberal Arts from JSU. Todd is a former high school and college instructor. His hobbies include golf, travel, movies and attending a variety of sporting events.

A.J. Jolley
An associate attorney at Berry & Associates, LLC in Albertville. Prior to that, Allen was a teacher. He lives in Guntersville these days and enjoys naps and most Saturdays. Allen currently serves as the President of the Marshall County Bar Association and is a member of the Board of Directors for CASA. His hobbies include being on committees, boards and associations.

J.D. Swartzlander
Master Gardner and manager for over 29 years for our CASA Garden. He is compassionate and proved consistent leadership by providing thousands of of fresh vegetables to CASA clients every year. Loyal church member with a heart for feeding the widows.
